Digital Marae Connectivity Training

As one of the marae who applied for and received a marae connectivity pack, you’re invited to attend our Digital Marae Wānanga event specifically designed to help marae and their kaitiaki get the most out of being digitally connected.


Delivered noho style during one weekend (Friday to Sunday), each Marae representative will receive hands-on training and capability development to confidently manage and utilise the newly installed marae connectivity devices and services.

Over the wānanga, you will complete 8 workshop sessions covering the following topics: 

  • How to use a computer and WiFi 
  • Internet security and keeping safe online 
  • Basic social media networking 
  • Virtual communication - video calls 
  • Document and online information storage 
  • Online finance - banking, accounts, bill payments 
  • Marae bookings and asset maintenance 

COVID-19 Tikanga & Alert Levels

Te Wananga o Aotearoa (TWoA) and Arataki Systems are committed to the safety of our kaimahi, manuhiri and wider community at all times. With any future COVID-19 Alert Level changes, we will adapt our wananga events and marae connectivity training according to the current Alert Level at the time.

At COVID-19 Alert Level 1, the will be running wānanga under the following tikanga:- 

  • QR code contact tracing using the NZ COVID Tracer app
  • Manual contact tracing requirements on site
  • Follow COVID-19 hygiene rules such as regular handwashing and hand sanitiser use
  • Stay home if you feel unwell – do not come to the wananga and let our team know you can't make it
  • Surfaces (desks, counters) and high traffic areas (handrails and door handles) are cleaned regularly with disinfectant/antibacterial cleaning products

Day 1 : Friday - 12PM to 7PM. Please arrive by 11:45AM for Powhiri at 12PM. 

Day 2 : Saturday - 8AM to 6PM

Day 3 : Sunday - 8AM to 4PM
